My jam feeder continues to be a hit with the sweet-toothed set. If I don't refill it quickly enough, a female Baltimore Oriole peers into my kitchen window as if to say, "Hey, where is my waitress?"

Ellie May is beautiful! I hear you. My cats aren't snatching many birds at all. It's too buggy out. Hooper like being out at night, too.
ReplyDeleteI love the barn swallows. Our are phoebes. They are our bug catchers.
I went for a walkabout, and I didn't put enough spray on. I've got blisters all over my arms. sigh.
Never knew about smoke and mosquitoes. Good to know. I never had a mosquito bite here in 15 years but all the rain has brought them out. Will give it a try--thanks.
ReplyDeleteFascinated by your smoker. We have been plagued by mosquitoes; they really bother Tony a lot. Wonderful bird captures...the jelly is such a hit. I've noticed quite a lot of phoebes this year but it's not lessening the mosquitoes. How are you handling the heat?
