In the wee hours this morning, a fox sniffed at a small feeding trough in my garden. Unfortunately, bluejays and neighbourhood cats had removed the chicken skin it held, so the fox got only a smell.
The little wooden trough is only twenty inches long, which gives you an idea of just how small these elegant little animals are.
Great video! A few weeks ago we were walking early one morning through our downtown. A fox ran by about 20 feet from us. He was smaller than I thought he would be but so beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Oh what a neat video. Yes they are very thin little things and so beautiful. Two ran through our fenced backyard last year squeezing through where the gates latched-very small areas. we are seeing lots of deer lately and the odd glimpse of the barred owl.
And he just had to have a second look to make sure there was nothing in the trough. Love that bushy tail.
